The firewall

What money can and cannot do here

  • Public profiles, official records, ratings, complaints, methodology, factual corrections and the right of reply are free and always will be. None of them sit behind a subscription.
  • Subscription state is never read by public search, ranking or rating code. Two identical profiles render identically whether one professional pays and the other does not.
  • There is no paid badge, no featured placement, no promoted position and no paid removal or suppression of information.
  • Identity verification and billing are separate states. Paying does not make an account verified, and verification does not require paying.
  • Cancelling ends private paid features at the end of the paid period. It never removes a public profile, verification history, correction rights or a published response.
